1. Purpose of ServicesStep Zero Recovery provides professional behavioral health and substance use counseling services for individuals and groups. Services may be offered in person or through HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms to residents of New Mexico only.Our services are not intended for emergency care.If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.

2. Professional RelationshipEngaging with Step Zero Recovery through this website or social media does not create a therapist–client relationship until an official intake session and informed consent have been completed.Information on this website is for educational purposes only and should not replace professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

 

3. Client ResponsibilitiesClients agree to:Attend scheduled sessions on time.Provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.Communicate honestly and participate actively in treatment.Avoid recording or sharing sessions or materials without permission.Failure to follow these guidelines may result in discontinuation of services.

 

4. Telehealth Consent and Safety PolicyBy participating in telehealth sessions with Step Zero Recovery Services, LLC, you acknowledge and agree that:Sessions will be conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video or phone platforms.Your privacy and confidentiality are maintained to the best of our ability, though internet-based services carry some inherent risk.You must be physically located in the State of New Mexico at the time of your telehealth session.You agree to attend sessions from a safe, private, and stationary location — you may not participate while driving, sitting in a moving vehicle, or engaging in any activity that could compromise safety, privacy, or focus.If you join a session from a vehicle, you will be asked to reschedule, and the session may be considered a late cancellation if it cannot proceed safely.It is your responsibility to ensure a stable internet connection and a confidential environment for each telehealth session.

 

5. Fees and PaymentsSession fees are discussed prior to treatment. Step Zero Recovery accepts Medicaid and select private pay options.Private pay sessions must be paid in full at or before the time of service.Please refer to the Refund and Cancellation Policy for details.6. Intellectual PropertyAll materials provided by Step Zero Recovery — including worksheets, guides, and website content — are the property of Step Zero Recovery Services, LLC.They may not be reproduced, sold, or distributed without written consent.7. Limitation of LiabilityWhile we strive to provide high-quality care, Step Zero Recovery Services, LLC and its clinicians are not responsible for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of our website or services.All therapy outcomes vary depending on each client’s unique participation and circumstances.8. Governing LawThese Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico. Any disputes shall be resolved within New Mexico jurisdiction.By using this website or scheduling services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
